The academic rise of humanism is a push-pack on the Aristotelian cultural currents. Certainly, as humanism has been articulated, is too vague and bounded -- partly because it is a vehicle for need that still doesn't have a solution: authentic living.

Larouchepac's project would be even stronger if it abandonned it's anti-Platonic caricature of Aristotle and realised that je is actually on their side - Plato's side - of this debate. The whole tradition of neoplatonism is essentially founded on approaching Aristotle's empiricism as an application of Platonism to nature, which Plato himself hadn't focussed on much. Read lloyd gerson's 'Aristotle and Other Platonists' if you want to hear about the neoplatonist's Aristotle.
