The ports on the rear are all Thunderbolt, you should correct that as it is an important bit of information when deciding to purchase, the front ports are type C

I ordered the base model, I already have Mac keyboards, mouse, trackpad, and 4K LG-brand monitors, the UktraFine series at 43" and 28". Webcam, mic, speaker system, etc. It's set to arrive in less than two days. Can't wait.

M4 is 3 thunderbolt and 2 usb c on the front.

The reason they put the power button on the bottom is to discourage you using one of those expansion docks with the previous Mac Minis so your're more inclined to upgrade storage at point of purchase.

The 16GB default memory is due to Apple Intelligence. But yeah, good that base models now have it.

Here is why I don't need any Mac Mini's:

There is also a serious need for Apple to increase the default SSD config from 256GB to 1 TB or else reduce the price of the upgrades.

I am not buying any Macs until that happens because I cannot have such an expensive laptop or even Mac mini's with such a small storage in it and look for external storage every now and then to access my frequently used large files like 4k videos, Lossless Music etc. (Also it isn't flexible for many developers with large projects or any other people to plug-in external storage all the time).

IMPORTANT: Also it is not possible for upgrade the OS if you're running low on storage.

I use a Windows laptop from 2017 and it still performance good. I just had to switch the 1TB HDD factory config to 1TB SDD.

I can easily play 5 instances of the Youtube videos in 4K with just 50% usage of my Nvidia GeForce 1050 4GB mobile GPU.

Seriously, I can continue explaining further but I will like to keep it short... Spend your money wisely!!!!

in the next version Apple should use external power supply like laptop, 4 lightening C, 1 hdmi, no lan port but wifi 7 and minimum 1TB chip should be attached on board. then apple mini beats whole market
