Islam allows such marriages but recommends marrying outside the family if possible, especially recommends marrying orphaned and widowed women and commands them to be protected.

It is not practical for me read the well over 350 comments. In India I have heard that in states like Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu a man can marry his niece. I have also heard that amongst Parsis there are disorders due to marrying of cousins. Is there a similar situation in AP or TN?
For this I have heard that the difference in gotra allows such marriages. I would like to learn about this.

In islam we can marry our cousins but its not compulsory which means that we can marry other people too and marrying father to daughter and uncle and niece is Haram.know your facts before spreading misinformation
