I couldn't take it any more. I needed something to stabilize my water temperature and originally I expected to pay $400 for a water chiller. but then I found this, tested it and it works perfectly. Despite it looking bootleg and the instructions being google translated hieroglyphics, everything worked out and its been over a month and no issues. My water is constantly cool and it fluctuates from 66-68 degrees Fahrenheit.

Picked this up over the weekend due to your review and man this thing is great! Cooled my res down from 74 to 68 in 45 mins! Now it never goes over 68. Loving it ❤

Man I hated adding the ice to the buckets and need something like this, for sure. Went back to soil because I didn’t have the time to stay on top of the water temperature like that.
I did insulate all my buckets with the reflective bubble insulation, like people use for windshield sunscreen protectors in cars. It seemed to help regulate the temperature longer in the black buckets. My tents have been as high as 84 in summer. Thanks for sharing your experience with it.

Man, I ordered it even shittier chiller that took a slow boat from China and then the next day. I saw this video and went on Amazon and found that exact chiller for 129 on prime day. Just gonna return the super shitty one and use this one. Super stoked to know it works well. I really wanted to do a DWC but my res so far has hovered around 77 and I thought I would never find a decent chiller in my price range. Believe it or not in my hippie ass town with 4 hydro stores no one has 1 inch black tubing in stock and it’s pretty damn expensive online. I can get 1 1/2 inch for half the 1 inch price. Must be the popular size. Thanks for the video! Chiller gets her tomorrow so now I am really stoked. My girl has been in the DWC for a week and looks strong and since the roots are finally hitting the res it’s time to cool

Some pumps are famous for heating up the water themselves, i like this invention but i also would treat my hydro pumps like a fish tank pump, i make sure i keep it as cool as possible, i live in the caribbean and Hawaii, to me this is a big issue. Not only heats up the roots but also messes with the PH

You can change from F to C. Press set + up arrow for 3sec. not 4. it has to be 3sec. it will show advanced menu. Also if you really want it cheaper just buy the 144W 12V peltier cooler, 12V 180W 15A power, STC-1000 controller. the controller in this device is willhi WH7016R.

Hi.
Can you tell me if it is normal for the water pump to continue working and circulating water through the chiller, even when the chiller fan is in stopped mode because it is at the correct temperature? I see that although the chiller is not activated, the water is still running through the system and the pump is still activated.

I want to cool down 20 L of fresh chilled water (40F from the refrigerator) that comes out from my air cooler (after the circulation inside it from the reservoir, filter pads, etc) so the output water from the chiller be again at 40F that will drop back to the reservoir of the air cooler. Will that chiller could do it?

I am having horrid issues with my DWC buckets keeping the water SO HOT - usually over 80F degrees! I would love this but it still seems to me I would need a unit for EACH of my 3-6 that correct? One water chiller can only chill one 5 gallon bucket, is that right? If not, how do you hook it up to cool more than one? Thanks!

The best chillers for DWC specific is insulated buckets with a NovaTech Coolworks chiller probe, or a RDWC system with a real chiller (compressor/gas instead of peltier chiller). Lately i've been wanting to experiment with DWC and micro chillers, especially the compressor ones. Cool stuff. 🧊

How would you use this if your using regular dwc with 2 separate buckets?

Could have used pipe insulation instead of swapping hoses??? Plus added befit of helping maintain water temp tru the hoses

How did this work, In video you stated over a month. Just wanted to know how long did work or is it still working.

Is the condensation on the outside of the buckets a problem? I saw it puddling up a little at the bottom of the buckets inside the tent….I think. Maybe it was just a reflection.

New to RDWC is water temp the absolute backbone of success or failure? Im moving over from coco.
For feeding how long or when do i know when to change the water? And when adding more nutrient solution, im guessing i drain the system and add the mixed nutes back in? Or do i too off? With that im scared of contamination or nute lock
