Experiencer, investigator, author, Dev Rugne has over 40 years of UFO research and independent investigative experience. She became interested in UFOs at an early age and has had many UFO sightings and paranormal experiences. Her main interest has been the abduction phenomenon, with a high interest in close encounter cases with unknown crafts. But she’s also studied other strange topics, including DogMen!
After moving up to Portland, Oregon, Dev rejoined MUFON in January of 2008 and became the Oregon MUFON Chief Investigator. Moving back to Northern California in early 2010, she became a Section State Director for seven counties, then became the Chief Investigator later that year. Dev is now the Assistant State Director and is on the STAR team.

She has spoken at many chapter meetings, conferences, UFO-related radio shows, podcasts and has been on a couple of TV shows. She is the author of the book, “UFO Investigator: A Personal Look into Circumstance, Investigations and Discovery.” Nothing but great reviews.

About Dev's book: What makes people who are more than just interested in UFOs become UFO investigators? Is it that we want to learn the truth about an intriguing enigma? Could it be a burning desire to know what UFOs are and who is flying them? Or is it that our own sightings and strange events have us looking for answers through the cases we investigate? Hi Dev (and Preston and Dolly)! I am one of the cases in your book (the three saucers near Bullard's Bar, California). At about minute 26 in your video, you mentioned seeing two side-by-side lights that flared up and then faded out, in 2019. I had the very same thing happen on the last day of December, 2017. The two lights were very close together, and they flared and dimmed twice although they never moved from their nearly zenith position from where I was standing, at dusk. I had felt compelled to walk down my gravel driveway and to stop and look eastward toward my house. The lights flared and dimmed very slowly, and at their brightest they were quite brilliant, lighting up the area like mid-day brightness (I've had that happen throughout my life, every so many years). At about dawn the following morning (January 1st, 2018), I awoke to find myself levitating out of my body, face-down. I was pulled out through my bedroom wall, and could feel a slight resistance as I passed through the layers of the wall. Outside, I flipped abruptly to a standing position, although I remained floating. I then shot forward about 200 feet and snapped around to face the bedroom-end of my house. An interesting, small craft was hovering just over my roof. It was rectangular but with rounded corners, and a beautiful deep-blue color. The bottom of the craft had a rectangular hatch-like structure that looked like two panels side-by-side. I guessed that those panels were the lights that I'd seen the night before. Now I could see that they were features of the bottom of the craft, built in to the panel that slid aside to reveal an opening. A ramp then extended down, and three pilots emerged, dressed in different-colored jumpsuits. I suddenly shot forward and found myself at the base of the ramp. The leader greeted me - he was dressed in a deep-blue jumpsuit the same color as the craft. He had bronze-colored, shoulder-length curly hair and violet-blue eyes. He was powerfully telepathic, and once he locked eyes with me, I could never break eye contact with him. A lot happened, but I'll just summarize by letting you know that I was taken onboard and went on a half-hour flight over my neiborhood. The whole bottom of the craft was made transparent, so that we could look down . I can't recall all that passed between the mind of the pilot and myself, telepathically. I know that there was a health-related issue that I needed to work on, but I can't remember much else. I was returned the same way that I was taken out, and then I awoke and wrote everything down immediately. I reported this case to MUFON in Northern California at about the same time that I reported the Bullard's Bar sighting. I thought that you might be interested in the confirmation of your own sighting - especially knowing more about the actual craft and the pilots. I have more to tell, if anyone is interested. Sorry to be so wordy! Great show, guys! I loved it.

great guest!! I just love these shows. Thanks Preston, Dolly and Dev. I so agree about being careful what you invite in, Dolly. I grew up in a house with a very negative entity, and it was not good, at all. It would not scare me in the same way now, but then, it had all four of us sisters in its grip and terrified us. Interestingly, there was another entity hanging around, that was not malignant, and was also scared of it. Also, "Dr Bug" turns up in all kinds of experiences, from ET to DMT trips. He must be a pretty surprising person to meet.

It's funny, something similar happened to me as a kid. I remember going downhill in this road and not being able to hit the brakes and going inevitably against a brick wall. The next thing I remember was just getting up from the floor, as if nothing happened.

we are many that feel left and want to go "home". I did that as a teenager and I do it up to day. Not as much as a child, but I did NOT feel that I fit into among the other children. I have also always thought different, ment different and said different and I always have felt and do, that others are so A4 and so afraid to live THEIR life, they do as all others around them, think like they have a hive-brain. I have never understood that and I have always told people to LIVE YOUR LIFE, BE YOURSELF, DO NOT FOLLOW ALL OTHERS, then you waste your life, it is like that a person went into a sect. That is the most evil I know, a sect, and people who attend those, is lost in life. They let others lead them, awful and what a waste of a life. Thank`s to Dew Rugne for her story.
