➤ ABOUT US: Hi! We’re Nick & Raychel, and we want to help people open their eyes to alternative living, whether that be teaching English online, moving to Cambodia, taking advantage of working holiday visas, or building a DIY stealthy camper van to live & work on the road. Nothing is off limits when adventure is the ultimate goal. After three years of living full time van life throught Canada, Mexico and the USA, we're now car camping our way through New Zealand in a Land Rover Discovery 1.

Our goal here is to bring you weekly content where we hope to inspire you to break free & live the life you desire. On this channel, we talk everything from finances to minimalism to working online to mindset and post a weekly vlog of our daily lives. We hope you join us on our journey to see the world, save money, live minimally, and most importantly, have fun.

So if you're looking for a channel about van life, alternative living, and budget travel, you're in the right place.

Traveling and working abroad is an incredible experience! Thanks for sharing, I appreciate that you're real with your viewers and not only showing the glamorous parts!

When I was 18, my dad said I needed to work and to apply at the local supermarket, but instead I found an entry-level IT support position in Ireland. Got an interview the very next day and were offered the position within 6 hours. Within two weeks from applying I had moved over there! ...and promptly tried to get into the driver seat of the cab (left hand traffic 😅). I lived there for a year before returning home for a better-paying job.

But I'm so happy I seized that opportunity back then, it'll be fond memories when I get older.

Obviously it's much easier to do such things when you have no obligations, like an apartment, partner, kids, or a job. Now, with all of these obligations (except that I have a cat instead of kids or a partner) moving to more exotic places like Southern Spain is more complicated.

I still hope that I'll find myself a nice gig down there and actually take the plunge just move... 😢

I work 6 months of the year during the summer and take off the 6 months of winter to relax in Asia. I work 14 hour days and work 6-7 days a week and save like crazy. It's great!

It's actually encouraging to see someone doing it with normal, pick up jobs. My dad did that after high school for a year, just backpacking.

Way easier to just make it work and pull the $500's for a flight home parachute acct if it doesnt work out, than to try to find some magic wfh job you can do remote

Thank you for being honest. According to everybody else who does what you were doing the earth just bestows money upon them so they can travel meaning they are either trustafarians we're just honest. Thank you for telling the truth that people have to actually work to be able to do the things they want to do and that you have to live within your means..
It also helps that being from the US the money you make when you save up from home goes further in other countries.. I'm assuming you can also remotely work from abroad and still be making an American salary no matter where you are

I learned a I had a dumb talent in my early 20s before I traveled the world for the rest of my 20s using the dumb talent, online poker. The government ended it in my 30s. So in my 30s I learned to fix mobiles and opened 2 online and 2 physical store fronts. I bought properties, built a portfolio, and now in my 40s I'm back to traveling and have been out of the usa for over a year. Dont take this ladies advise for longer than 1 year and ruin your life. Find your income or build up before traveling for years on end.

Don't you have dreams of having children? This kind of lifestyle is not suitable for children.. 20 or 30 years from now, the style and way of life you are doing now will not be relevant to you anymore.. are you ready and what are your preparations? time is always running..
