I have to wonder if they've flooded their own market a bit too? I just bought a Hero8 which is several models old by now and it has all the features I could need with a $30 256GB SD card. I'm not sure what more innovations/upgrades they can make to incentivize buying a newer model.

I love my gopro 8. However, go pro have a design problem. Content creators now understand that audio is just as important as picture - but to get audio, you have to buy the media mod to get the best results. More money. And, the software control on the gopros is simply crap. When you connect to the desktop, it sometimes connects and sometimes does not. Most of the time, transfer of files requires the user to unscrew everything and take away the SD card to then transfer the data to the desktop via another means. Sometimes it turns on, sometimes it does not. When it turns off, how come you come back a day later and what was 100% battery is now 50%? Insta360 does not have these problems. Maybe Insta should buy gopro???

Considering this video is a year old when i found it the share price continues to fall, now at $1.70 a all time low. I've had many GoPros the best in my mind was the Hero3. But what I found was as they released new models with better specs the reliability of the camera becomes a huge issue. Lost count of the total freezes and clumsy menu hunting. Yet there were plenty of YouTube tech reviews not pointing out these cameras had major issues. I dare say the 'paid promotion' had them sticking to the script of only good news.
