Mysterious Ancient Monolith: The Rock Ship of Masuda 🤔

In the village of Asuka in the Takaichi District of the Nara Prefecture in Japan, is something known as the Rock Ship of Masuda.

This large basalt monolith stands near the top of a hill and weighs an incredible 800 tonnes, with dimensions measuring 11 metres by 8 by 4.7. The top is flattened with two one-metre square or cubic holes, one being around 1.3 metres deep, and the other 1.8 metres deep, with a ridgeline that is parallel to both holes.

This is one of a number of monoliths in the region and although it is likely unfinished, nobody really knows its origins or intended function. Asuka has a long history, going back more than 1,500 years, but how the monolith fits into the history of this region, nobody really knows. The Rock Ship of Masuda remains a mystery.

The line between the rock ship and the mound you showed is a solstice line.

Imagine getting that much work done carving the front of your altar thing then it just falls over. Might be some old tools under it.

It may be an entrance to some lower levels? Were these mounds surveyed?

For anyone curious it’s located South West of Osaka Japan in a bamboo forest.

It looks like something is supposed to be placed on top of it.. Something being placed in the 2 holes. With a groove to support it.

All of the things that were attached to it are long gone now, and only the base of the machine remains now.

Those numbers/dimensions are weird and definitely intentional to almost follow some prime mode/set almost follows rule of thirds (or maybe fifths). They follow a distinct pattern. You get repeating 2727273 when dividing 8/11 and 4.7/11. Likewise aproximate 1.3/1.8 yields 2’s. Could someone check the math?

Can you see how they cut the stone, lines and crosses then it's like they knock off the little squares. crazy

Looks similar to the Baltic Sea anomaly.

It looks like it fell on its side after 1000s years of erosion of the main hall, and fortress it supported. this appears to have been a connecting corridor

Looking at it from top down it has some similarities to the one that's in the ocean off the coast of Norway
