LG Refrigerator Freezer Drawer Frost

So how do I remove the frost without turning off the whole fridge?

Way I avoid that is make sure when your done you push THAT drawer back in ALL THE WAY ! Then close the freezer drawer/door closed. This method eliminates the frost on all the drawers.
Only seems to affect that top ice bin drawer more so but this will help alleviate frost on drawer and foods.
Kids are good for not doing this and so I LEARNED by experience and it works lol

My ice maker was not working because it was all froze up in the back and the ice cube tray was one long ice cube. I’m sure it happened because the door was not closed all the way.

I took the drawers out and the front of the door off the freezer section(4 screws each side) so I could get at the ice and the tray easier. I let it thaw until I could get the large chunk loose from the tray and was able to chip the ice off the back easily when it warmed up.

If you don’t push the rack all the way in the freezer will not blow cold air most of the time and the ice will melt. It’s just a little annoying to have the warning sound going but acceptable. I know this is an old video but hope this helps someone.

Mine is also building up on the back of the freezer, not just the drawer. Is this it because it's not closed all the way?

This has happened to 3 of our brand new lg refrigerator freezers in the last 2 years. They keep refunding me cause there are no repairmen in our area! This time I’m keeping the money and will live with it till it totally breaks than get something different cause it will never be an LG again

Mine is building up thick white frost all over the inside of the drawer also. It’s brand new

I have the same problem. Fixed once under warranty, now one and a half months out of warranty and they want to charhe me to fix it again. Will never buy LG again!!
