Powerful Sharpness Hack For Your Fujifilm Camera (XH2, XT5, XT4 Most Important Setting)

I was very curious on whether the High ISO NR in Fujifilm X-H2 affects the image quality on the low iso as well. Even though Fujifilm named this setting as High ISO NR, I found that it will affect the quality of the image and it has a wax effect on the image.

I will turn off this setting by setting it to High ISO NR -4. It looks sharper and more natural.

Thank you so much for this amazing tip! But how about the sharpness? What is the best to get the sharpest image possible?

Thx for the tips. I was a bit surprised that my xh2 images came out a bit noisier. I guess it’s due to a 40mp sensor. At the end I decided to return x2h and ordered xt5.

Thx for this! Curious about what camera and lens did you use for recording this video? Love the bokeh and background blur!!

Excuse me, my X-T5 is in the AF-C continuous focus mode. When the shutter is half-pressed, the brightness of the camera screen will be relatively dim. When the shutter is released, it will be restored. Is there a setting error? Do you have the same situation, thank you for your answer.

I’m curious if it does the same when you’re at minimum native iso. Perhaps high iso is actually extended iso NR.

thanks for the tip. i changed the setting on my x-s10. are there occasions when you change the setting back to zero or even to +? or do you always use -4? also what exactly is this setting for as i´m curious

Many thanks for the tip but how is it possible at nr -4 with wax layer to get sharper images? I would await the opposite in this case.

How come you haven’t done any reviews on the 16-55mm 2.8 red badge lens from Fuji?

Not surprised considering it's part of film recipes on Fuji X Weekly.

Does this only affect the jpeg or heif?

It is only applicable to JPGs. RAW files remain untouched. So, if u are only a JPG shooter then it might be an issue.

How are you able to use Fuji for video with their autofocus? My Fuji's always breathe - I have X-T4 + new 23MM F1.4 LM

High ISO NR -4 at ISO lowest are very good, but at lowlight about ISO 500 above, the photos start to noisy a lot, even at iso 500, at ISO 1600 the noise are a lot.. hmm.. any advice?

Hi, I do not undertand. You said -4 is more sharper, ok, but the noise is higher. HIgh iso NR is to remove noise, if you use +4 you have less noise but your photo is less sharper...no ?
