Advice for next time. Use flour instead of powdered sugar and dip you cookie cutters in. Bit of flour before using it so it won't stick to the dough. Also instead of parchment paper put flour on the surface of your counter, there will be no sliding and it will prevent your dough from sticking to the counter and stretching when you try to lift it.

Edit: also your cookies turned out lumpy because you mixed wet and dry ingredients together. You have to mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, ect. In a seperate bowl to get it to a smooth and creamy consistency with no lumps. Then you ad dry ingredients like flour and baking soda. This prevents the butter from clumping up with the flour and creating a lumpy dough.

Hi Raven, here’s a little tip about sugar cookies when you have to roll them out use flour instead of powdered sugar because flour will make it less sticky because it doesn’t have sugar in it. Btw love ur vids ❤

PRO TIP: I always let the dough chill for a couple hours, so then it wont stick inside the cookie cutters

The reason you were struggling with getting the shapes cut out was because the dough was too soft, it needed to be chilled for longer and because you used a spreadable butter it's way softer than a stick of butter.
Also if you want to save on dishes, mix the wet ingredients in the bowl first, then put the sieve on top and add your dry ingredients and sift them through. This will reduce lumps and you will only need to use one bowl!

I think that the reason the cookies were a little greasy was that you used both cup measurements and grams. Generally, its advised to stick to the same type of measurement throughout a recipe. Hth for next time.

I’ve made sugar cookies, the dough is meant to be like not very stiff, and take this advice if u want, use flower to help with rolling the dough, and to keep the dough from sticking to the cutter
