This is crazy. I still remember literally 10 years ago when Fifty Shades of Grey had just come out and was the "it book" to read, a friend of mine was reading a copy of the second book during calc class in senior year and our teacher not only confiscated her book but sent her immediately to the principal's office who then had her in detention for two days or so after calling her parents. This was in 2012 and she was 17... it wasn't okay back then and it hell isn't okay now and I don't know how parents can think it's okay to be reading such things IN SCHOOL. Super inappropriate.

I’m sorry to say this but do whatever you can to homeschool. Cut your budget in any way if possible to make homeschool a possibility. It’s not a perfect option but schools private and public are dropping the ball big time and in some cases just flat out looking to destroy kids.

Ok, I'm gay. I challenge one single person to try and convince me that removing this content from all schools K-12 is homophobic. That is laughable! There is NOTHING in this content that gay youth "need" to I don't know. I can assure that, as I've known that I am gay since early childhood, never once did I need or require access to materials such as what I hear coming from these books. It's disgusting. It's embarrassing. And the woman with the face mask makes the gay community look awful. I assure all, we don't believe this material is appropriate for children. He'll, I'm 43 and I wouldn't read it.

I went to school in Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD, graduated 1998. To this day, I have no idea why we had sex ed in 4th grade when we were 9 and 10 years old. It definitely was not need-to-know information at that age and in retrospect, the only outcome from having g taken sex ed so early was that doors were opened that created unnecessary & premature curiosity.

I'm glad that Gov Abbott had all school libraries audited and the books removed. At least I hope that was followed through on. I further think that any adult that works for the school district who either suggested, provided knowledge of or placed any of these types of books onto any student's hands should be very severely reprimanded, if not arrested & fired. I'm pretty sure we once called this 'contributing to the delinquency of a minor'. There is no way this content does not qualify as child pornography. CP carries very harsh penalties.

There is one reason and one reason only to provide children with thos content: grooming. That's it! Gay youth do not need these materials at any time in their development. That's another fact. All that this material does is prine the young, innocent mind for premature sexuality in one form or another.

We definitely have a white liberal problem in this nation.
