The Energy crisis and economic blowback is because of we in the West have launched an Economic War against Russia.
But the problem is that we decided to wage a knee-jerk economic war against Russia & the Russians are just reacting to it. The unplanned lose-lose Economic War, was probably ill-thought out and badly miscalculated. In Europe, we are just trying to change course in mid-air to avoid a crash.
What other options existed?
One option was that maybe if we limited it to just a military war in Ukraine. A War through just arms transfers to Ukraine. Maybe that war could have been fought successfully, and Russia could have been checked.
*The second option was to unleash a more calculated, nuanced, Economic War on Russia. Economic War should have been launched after more calculations and better preparation, to inflict damage on Russia without harming European interests.*

Is it only too quiet on my computer, or is this site incapable of considering their audience?

Thought this kind of discussion might be more interesting to people. Given current crisis.
