At this stage, between the ages 6 - 9 months, you will notice that your baby is more independent, as he continues to develop balance, crawling on his belly, on his hands-and-knees, develops communication skills, and a better understanding of his surroundings. This is the first time that your baby can do certain things without completely depending on you. He isn’t constantly being carried, and he can make his own choices in choosing to move away or get closer to us.
