Anybody else just really love looking at UIs. Like I like the games and everything but something about the sound effects, the design, the music. It all really captures the child-like excitement of owning your own console and making it yours :)

The music in the PS5 menu is simply incredible, it gives you a feeling of nostalgia, of inner peace, it's incredible!

I like that they brought back PS2 sounds and all.. but personally I find that the PS3's menu and sounds were pure perfection. I would love if they could just add an option to use a menu identical to PS3 including the sounds.

Does anyone else get GameCube and Wii U menu vibes from the music and sounds here?

The sounds at 0:17 remind me of the GameCube's menu. At around 0:22 the music reminds me of the Wii U menu.

The jingles played when hovering over apps also give me Wii and 3DS vibes.

Also it looks similar to the PS3 menu during the intro. That's pretty cool!

And I think some aspects of the UI are similar to the PS4, while most things are very unique.

This is probably my favourite PlayStation menu so far (even though I don't have a PS5 yet lol). I love that it's dark grey by default rather than blue like the PS4, and the music is so nice to listen to. So are the sounds effects.

I can not describe the feeling as soon as that ps5 turns on, it’s so relaxing and makes it seem as if I was playing a space themed game, the music always made the PlayStation better, and I love how they made it 10 times better here

As a PC user and brefly xbox user I can with happyiness and respect say that I love this home menu more than xbox. Because of the background music. it sounds like a deep void fueled with nothing but peace and freedom.

I bought a Backwards Compatible PS3 recently. I game with just that and my Series X, but also looking into the PS5 too. That maschine is a beast in itself.

I love the background music of the PS4 menu more, it's more like a video game, the PS5 one seems off and is not as enjoyable.

As a xbox and Nintendo person, I gotta say as far as main menus go, the ps5 is the obvious winner, the switch's menu is very simplistic & the xbox series X/s menu is just copy and paste of the xbox one. The only downside to the playstation 5 is lack of backwards compatibility, its only backwards compatible to the ps4 which is one of the reasons why I went with the series s
