Judge tells Trump to make campaign schedule work with court dates

Judge Tanya Chutkan announced Monday the federal trial over Donald Trump's alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election will begin March 4, 2024 -- one day before the Super Tuesday primaries. CBS News congressional correspondent Scott MacFarlane has more on how the date was chosen.

With him being so honest I would think he would be excited to have the opportunity prove it in court BEFORE the general election, at the very latest. You know, he has that "large, complex, but irrefutable report" that he is so anxious to show the world that PROVES the 2020 election was rigged. For the life of me I can't figure out why he would want to postpone presenting that report to the world by three years.

These arrests & now this statement by the judge that he needs to adjust his schedule to fit his court appearances might be the first times in his life that he's been forced by someone else to do something he doesn't want to do. He should get used to it; the accountability train is coming & he's right on the tracks...

He doesn't need a campaign. According to the 14th amendment, he is not qualified to run for president. Check section 3. He will have plenty of time to be in court and /or a cozy jail cell.

Criminal defendants don't decide their own court dates, Judges do!

Why is Trump campaigning? He is not eligible to run for office. Section 3 of the 14th amendment.

If he is innocent there is little to prepare for, he could just present his case. Just because Dump chose to run for President (to provide cover for the indictments he knew were coming) doesn't excuse the choices Dump made in not accepting his loss in 2020 and his attempt to have people help him overturn the results in myriad ways.
