'Like any defendant': Judge says Trump must ‘make the trial date work’

"Setting a trial date does not depend and should not depend on the defendant's personal and professional obligations," Judge Chutkan said when she scheduled Trump’s federal election interference trial for Mar. 4, 2024. "Mr. Trump, like any defendant, will have to make the trial date work regardless of his schedule."

We need to see the judge stick to the set trial date. Sick of seeing Trump treated differently than any other citizen. The two-tiered justice system needs to end and stop coddling the criminal! Get these trials started!

Dump has the resources to keep hiring lawyers, private investigators, and others. He can easily pay for the personnel that the lawyers need to review and summarize the evidence. Nothing more here than the usual delay tactics.

"Like anyone else".., probably the most democratic, equal rights under the law, America encapsulating words uttered since the days of Ben Franklin. Let's hope this is just the beginning of the end of special treatment for those who believe they deserve more than "anyone else."

Not only should the trial date be firm but television cameras should be allowed. Campaign activity should have no more influence on trial scheduling than a plumbers appointment tn unstop a toilet.
