Many of those who have succeeded in fleeing Ukraine may find that they do not have Ukraine passports, such as young children and the elderly. Like very many in other countries, they did not anticipate the urgent need for a passport in a hurry, because they had no intention of ever leaving their home country, to visit or live abroad. The only documentation they may have in their possession to prove who they are, may be a birth certificate, which poses a problem, for authorities in the country accepting them as refugees for the time being.
