More topwater trophy trout in entirely NEW area

After boating some bruisers a few days earlier in Hopedale, Marsh Man Masson had topwater-trout fever, so he did some map study at home, and identified three areas that he suspected would hold some big ones.

He went out earlier this week to see if he was right, and never made it to two of the spots. The first held some gorillas, and he left them biting to get home and begin processing the video. Marsh Man had never fished the specific area before.

The big speckled trout bit the same bait Marsh Man had thrown during the Hopedale trip, a chartreuse/white MirrOlure She Dog. The lure also attracted some bites from redfish, including a massive bull.

Marsh Man plans to check the other two spots next week to see if they too hold big trout that are looking to the surface for lunch.

I ran across this video and decided to watch it again. Your point about choosing the right rod is definitely something many people should listen to. I see a lot of people use bass rods in M or MH. For redfish, this may not be as critical, but for trout, it can make a critical difference. I still use quite a few Falcon rods because of this. Great videos.

Try a pause let your bait sit motionless or a bump after a strike count to 10 by 100's a trout is killing a fish first and will circle around and eat it's kill
