How to make your hotel room hotter (or colder) - thermostat VIP hack!

This is the thermostat I had in a hotel room in Chicago.. putting it on maximum heat wasn't cutting it.. it topped out at 22, even though I set it to 25. The 'engineer' came, hit a few buttons, and put it into VIP mode, which lets it go higher (or lower).. and that fixed the problem, letting it go up to 23 degrees, which was perfect.

It's an easy sequence to press if you need to do the same :)

Flight attendant here . Never know where I’m gonna end up got reflowed to somewhere cold… hotel heat just kept turning off or would remain cold idk… but a fake 80 degrees in the room with it being 20 degrees outside… I was miserable and freezing .This worked thanks!!! I legit almost cried.

I'm in a Chicago area hotel with these awful thermostats in February winter temps. The staff acted like this was some top secret task. Then said it only lasts 24-48 hours before defaulting to their max temp which is too cold for this time of year. Thank you so much! 💓

Dude thank you. I’m currently in Maui and the resort I’m in, the ac wouldn’t stay on because of how they set it. So I come back in from outside and it’s 78 degrees in the room. I did what you showed and now I’m enjoying a cool 67 degree room
