Why Americans don't have affordable healthcare, education and housing like Europeans ?

Referring to Biden's potential support of progressives as becoming "a creature of the left" is a pretty disheartening turn of phrase. A lot of the younger generations, less than 35yo, identify as progressive, or even just liberal, and we feel like we're being marginalized or disrespected because of our beliefs. Many of us care about social welfare, the environment, elder care, pay equity, and anti-discrimination, and are less likely to follow ingrained social/cultural expectations. Many of us think in terms of international relations and the realities of globalisation. The writing is on the wall and we see the fallacies of what we were raised to believe about life and work, and want to work hard to change our circumstances and prospects. What is so wrong about that? Stop demonizing people for caring about the social good in addition to their own circumstances.
