They need to do more in terms of PvP rewards. It’s just super stale at the moment.

I must say as a non money spender in the Pokemon TCG Pocket game it sure does deliver tons of content. Still pretty bad at the battle parts, but videos like this sure does help alot.

Genetic Apex definitely feels like what Base set should've been. Loving TCGPocket

One of the ways they could grow the game organically is implementing a private lobby feature, where players can host private tournaments, leagues etc

Andrew, as a 33 year-old who attempted to rekindle my nostalgic love for Pokemon by collecting physical cards at the beginning of this year and was quickly dissuaded by the diminishing returns of the brutal pull rates, your content has been a gateway for me to capture what I was seeking in a fun way. Over the past month I learned how to play TCG live and quickly ranked up the ladder to Master's Arceus thanks to your logical and rational approaches to playing decks that feature Charizard EX + Dusknoir and Gouging Fire EX + Munkidori. Now, since downloading TCG Pocket last Friday I'm flying with Mewtwo EX + Gardevoir thanks to videos like this and the previous highlighting the tactical approaches to leveraging fossils and keeping basic Pokemon counts within decks streamlined. Thanks for your contributions to the Pokemon community. You're a real one.

I learned a little trick to beat meta players, if you build your deck like it's a meta deck with a hidden strategy, it seems to throw them off. I made a Charizard deck that's secretly a Ninetails deck, and I'll play my cards like I'm setting up Charizard when I'm really just charging Ninetails. The opponent will usually do everything they can to take out my Moltres ex, and I'll retreat it at the last minute to sub in Ninetails, which is usually earlier than my opponent expects since it takes less energy. Throw in Blaine and it's a wrap, you're one-shotting almost everything.

I tried lot of Pika EX deck variants, but my opinion is the same, Raichu version is the best.

One day Dragonite will be up there.

One Day.

Personally, i love the Blastoise ex rogue deck just because of the energy curve on the Squirtle line going second. 20-40-100 can be really solid into mewtwo

I think Gengar EX is being kinda slept on
Shutting down all supporters puts your opponent in an incredibly tight situation where if they cant handle Gengar EX with the pokemon already on the field or in their hand as they are they're completely screwed
And Gengar's relatively high hp and consistent 1 to 2 hit ko on almost everything without potions makes it incredibly difficult to take out for decks that would otherwise rely on supporters

I don't like how deck building is being heavily influenced by an unintended mechanic of always starting with a basic pokemon. I think it needs to see a change and the mulligan system put in place to allow rogue strats to have more agency. Like the Persian/Pidgeot deck that hand rips and force switches your opp.

you can do something similar to the blaine decks with misty golduck and greninja (where youre swinging with essentially-rapidash and adding to 110 after you get your 2 frogs going), and sometimes stalling with psyduck rather than vulpix

i do it with bruxish though, because i love bruxish. it is definitely worse.

ive also been thinking about brock with onix marowak; onix functions like a bad pikachu ex (where brock makes it a 2 energy attacker that hits kinda hard). i dont think it works that well since marowak is gambling and onix isnt allowed to switch

Nice video here! Shame my current favorite deck didn't make it, but that's fair lol. Having too much fun with Golbat, Primeape, and Marrowak! Has great matchups against mewtwo and pika cause type weakness, and even when it doesn't have that avantage, Primeape having the potential to hit for 100 for two energy is just rediculous on a one point pokemon

I'm having a blast with my Weezing, Lilligant and Venusaur EX deck. The green toad is a chonky beast.

Like this video a lot. Proof you're a pro, then immediately into the simple deck builds and bullet point why they are good and move on. I got my Pikachu EX last night and immediately thought of how OP it is and putting it in my electric deck blew me away without any need to watch videos.
