I was asked by a homophobic girl "you're gay, so do you like me?" To be mean and I answered "sorry no i have standards" ( it was so fun to say that lol)

And the most annoying thing they say when a lesbian comes out is "How could you never tell us you were lesbian!?!?? We went in changing rooms together!1!1"

I‘m not lesbian, but I feel like a good idea for most people might be to just not care, like personally I wouldn’t care if any of my friends came out. Not in a not supporting way, but really it doesn’t change anything to me, still same person yk

Oh my gosh, the don't ask if you have a crush on them is SO REAL! i literally came out to my (old) bestie and she slowly moves a few more inches away and was like "sooo you like me....?" It was so awkward and ruined the moment for me lol

Omg, the pointing out everything gay is so real. My mom pulls me straight to the pride section of target the minute it’s june, and most of the stuff sucks tbh.

I'm a trans man, but I agree with everything you said, especially about bringing up every gay thing you know. And about the fact that we have lives outside of being queer

I just think no one should say this after someone came out 🤷🏻‍♂️❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Also on the flipside of the first one: don’t use your friend’s lesbian sexuality as a sudden excuse to suddenly act all flirty with/come onto her, and ESPECIALLY don’t use her as a fetish to turn straight guys on. It’s so annoying when straight girls hit on if not outright sexually harass lesbians at bars and parties specifically to turn on a straight guy who is watching. Don’t reduce us lesbians to just an object of male fantasy, it is incredibly disrespectful and misogynistic.

When a female friend of mine came out as bi, I tried to hug her and say, "Welcome to gay girl club!" But she was like, "please don't tell me you had a crush on me" like, girl, I'm welcoming you to the community, not professing my love! I don't even like you that way! I'm in a queer-platonic relationship! Calm down!

I thought I was a straight friend surround by lesbian friends xD I realized i was bi.. still surrounded by lesbians, but I never acted weird. Im a very hugsy person and I love contact, with my straight or lesbian friends... I always acted the same, held their hands, hugged them, etc. I was even rumoured to be a lesbian aswell and my reaction was "yeah wtv", I never felt different around them, theyre my friends and they will be my friends before anything else. Im bisexual and when I came out what my friends said was "we knew it" and all they did is joke about how now we can get married. I never understood the "do you like me then?" as if every straight woman has a crush on every man xD

As a lesbian I 100% agree. The "so do you have a crush on me" is so real. The amount of times I've been asked is insane. The funniest interaction I had once was in a new class. My new classmates and I were discussing types we were into and they eventually asked me, so I said "women". This one girl immediately goes "oh are you bisexual?". All the others were like "no honey, she's lesbian". I just thought that was funny. She was super apologetic. But I thought it was cute.

It feels illegal to be this early... but ty!!! Im not lesbian, but i am pansexual, and anytime i come out to someone (i wait a bit to get to know them before telling them) they always act so weird abt it... like girl no... just bc i like women doesnt mean i liked you... i also have a bf so that wouldnt make any sense

Tbh, I’m bi and I fall in love easily and it’s cause I’m weird like that, I got a lot of love in me, but I was lucky enough that no one did that to me, when I made a joke about dating women instead of men, someone in my class thought I came out as lesbian, I just stated that I’m bi and it was over and done with

My best friend in middle school (she moved away sadly) was openly lesbian in a small conservative town and a bunch of these weird girls kept talking about how they should make a petition to force her to change on the boy's locker room instead because they didn't want her "checking them out". When my friend turned around and said "Why the hell would I be attracted to you?" they tried to report her for bullying???

As a bi girl I agree! One friend asked me “omg just don’t fall in love with me 🤭”
Like miss girl you’re not my type.😨
