honda accord 2008 3.5 rattling noise @ the startup

Rattling noise at startup , would go away after 2-3 minutes , , I replace all timing belt components , water pump
And timing belt tensioner was main culprit

That's from the tensioner worn out. Once you turn on the ignition, the noise is continued until the engine's warmed up. As long as you can have it replaced, go for a replacement. When the tensioner starts troubled, water pump or belt might be destroyed all of sudden.

I have a 2004 v6 and I have same problem as well, only @ start-up for a minute or so. Though it was my oil pump goingbad but it's a warning sign of timing belt! 160, 000 miles.

Had same noise but mine i never noticed rightaway after starting I noticed when I drive like 300m and I come at stop sign the engine rattle it happening to since the dealer replaced timing belt kit called them back to see what's the problem

I also have the same issue on a 2012 accord v6 3.5L
