The first one, the tugboat reminds me of when my son and his Japanese wife were living in Japan with their children. The bus that came to pick up the kids was Thomas the train. Even in Japan Thomas, the train is very popular.

Commentary about the vsl at 3:07: "Colliding with the shore"....I think they call that "going aground" BG. And that VERY close proximity to the shoreline....you just KNOW those props were churning mud the whole way through the maneuver. Not unlike the captain's underwear....

The Theodore II always appeared to be in decent condition when I passed by it, and kept up. Not a scow like many nearby appeared to be. I never saw inside her bilge etc but it looked good on the exterior.
