It says something when these rich powerful companies are so scared of unions

The rich and Powerful do not like it when working people come together. This is something we should realize about work as well as about politics.

Starbucks has not respected the law re: unionizing. They also have not respected their partners and staff.

My sister recently took a job with Starbucks, and their union-busting tactics have just become de facto policy. They have all the staff they could need for this location, but they are constantly understaffed to keep the employees busy; too busy to talk or organize. And because they actually have plenty of workers for staffing, there are employees who despite being hired for full-time only make about 23 hours a week, due to artificially low staffing. It's all in an effort to simultaneously demoralize their workforce and keep them away from each other enough that unionizing becomes harder.

This is why I believe in punitive regulations against big guys for deceit and violations including a maximum income cap for executives formulated to the lowest level laborers. For example x for lowest laborer, max 80x for CEO including benefits.

I used to go to Starbucks every morning on my way to work. I have been boycotting them since the news of how Starbucks treats their workers became public.
I'm the daughter & granddaughter of Union men. I'm a historian who knows the truth of what Ronald Reagan did to betray Union workers all over the country. Men & women who voted him in as a Union man who was the president of his own Union 4 times. (SAG) The knives he put in the back of every Union worker began with the way he handled the Air Traffic Controllers strike & just as destructive to this country as his Trickle Down Economics and so much more.

Until these workers are allowed to Unionize in EVERY store where the majority of workers truly want to, I will not be returning to Starbucks.

Really? I’ve been boycotting ever since they raised prices 3 times in a year.

This is ridiculous
These employees are going to put themselves out of a job.
I kinda hope it happens.
They are not good, at all…

Do you go to school for 15-20 years so you can get a low skill job and demand higher pay? Its ridiculous.

Option B : just go get a grown up job and stop trying to make coffee for a living

Help me understand, why do the workers need to unionize? Seems ridiculous.

Most people just dont understand economics... unions in the food/beverage industry would double the price of everything

Do these idiots realize that making Starbucks less competitive by demanding higher pay means they will have less revenues to pay their employees? Where exactly do they think the money comes from? The magical money tree?🌳
