Both Python and Go are extremely relevant today. Both languages are widely used. However, many people have been switching from Python to the newer and faster language Golang, also known as Go. Go is a much newer language than Python, released by Google in 2009, and it has many advantages over many other programming languages. Golang is an excellent language, although not so one-sidedly better than Python that Python will go away any time soon.

LOL, Go's pay is more like high demand but not enough talents

A fast take is that Python is easier to read. That is probably true for the first couple weeks.
But Go is restrictive in terms of the language constructs. For example, there aren't as many ways to iterate over a collection as Python has.
As a result, it is *generally* easier to read and edit Go code-bases than it is for Python codebases.
On the other hand, the Python community and ecosystem are top notch...

Is this a joke? "Go is based on C++, so it's as fast as C++"? By following that logic Python is based on C and thus as fast as C. Pathetic video.

I'm only self-taught and have never worked an official job coding, but I put together my own scripts daily with Python3. Everything from Django websites to web-crawlers to data analysis. Although I put my scripts together, I watch video tutorials and the speed at which they go is disheartening to me. What will take me an afternoon to assemble, they put together in 15 minutes. I feel like the only way I could get to that level is if it's mandatory and not just a hobby. I would say by skill, I'm early-advanced with Python3. Should I start applying for jobs and if so, what should I be looking for? I barely have a high school education.

Most important: You can easily integrate C code into Go programs.

devops does not like py it likes go, devops is higher paid then pyhon devel, so i would say with go you can go for a lot more earnings than python

Data Scientist and AI Expert earn highest pay around 100k - 250k+ and even IBM's 8 member team of data scientist made 1 Million USD in year. All Use Python. Also, No support for Data Visualization tools, OOP and AI and ML libraries for GO. For Web backend it may be okay but not for Ai and Data Science related fields. Also, People will earn based on their skills and experience. If you need performance using Numba and enhance time by 2 magnitudes or sometime 400 times faster reaching speed of C and C++ through nogil and multithreading. now see people coming at me since I just attacked their tools:) I use C, C++, Python 3, SQL.

*There is SO MUCH misinformation in this video.* To the person who made this, you are misinforming people and you clearly have very little understanding of Go or its history. I don't mean to offend you, but for real, don't trip out about Python going away any time soon.
