Windows 11 Not Booting Up FIX [Tutorial]

In a recent tutorial, we looked at resolving issues with black screens in Windows 11 with some basic troubleshooting tips. But sometimes, Windows 11 fails to boot because of problems with the master boot record. In these cases, repairs need to be made to the master boot record to get things up and running again. Fortunately, the Windows 11 recovery environment includes an automated option for doing just that. And if that doesn’t work, you can do it manually in the command prompt.

Issues addressed in this tutorial:
windows not booting up
windows not booting up black screen
windows not booting from hard drive
windows not booting after update
windows not booting after restart
windows not booting after install
windows not booting black screen
windows not booting blank screen
pen drive not booting windows
hard disk not booting windows 11
hard drive not booting windows 11
windows DVD not booting
USB drive not booting windows 11
dell laptop not booting windows 11

You turn on your computer one day and Windows refuses to boot—what do you do? “Windows won’t boot” is a common symptom with a variety of causes, so you’ll need to perform some troubleshooting.

Modern versions of Windows are better at recovering from this sort of thing. Where Windows XP might have stopped in its tracks when faced with this problem, modern versions of Windows will try to automatically run Startup Repair.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 11 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung.

Here’s the thing: I turn my laptop on and the welcome screen appears but then it goes black. And there are spinning dots.

I was upgrading and it failed at Safe_OS phase. I saw a British video that suggested I skip the install updates part and he said that fixed his but during the second try it acted like the updates were already installed and it blew right past it. What I think happened is I forgot my second machine has Windows 10 Pro and I had downloaded Home iso and the second time it installed Pro on it's own. It worked the second time pretending like I wasn't even here :)
It comes up looking just like the old install except for the new menu bar at the bottom. As a matter of fact the splash screen before it ask for your pin has little notes than advertise Windows 10 still. ???? Some things are very nice. You can move a lot of you icons down to the pop up start menu and start enjoying you wallpaper. It's a new cleaner look. Cons are they have changed things that you have been doing for 20 years you have to re-learn. Copy and paste have changed. You have to re-learn icons and terms to do this. I absolutely hate that part about Windows upgrades, it's why I just moved to Windows 10 last year. I am only going to put 11 on this one machine and stay put on my other machines.

What if your computer crashes in the middle of this process and now it’s in an endless loop of never finishing an update?

I had this issue and couldn’t figure anything out. I tried everything you mentioned aside from redownloading windows installer on a flash drive. I did the command prompt too (up until the regneck/ *.* .. it had a problem with that) went into my bios and somehow my boot drive switched on me for whatever reason.

My laptop was locked this morning. I restarted it and most of the time locks up before sign in or just shuts off. Got the blue screen to appear and said looks like windows isn't loading properly. I go to blue screen options and 1 says reboot into windows 11....I don't have windows 11. Is this why it's dead? I've been getting all kinds of messages saying my laptop isn't compatible with 11. why would they force it on my laptop then?

I'm having a similar problem since installing Windows 11. Whenever I restart computer or computer restarts for updates as well (not shut down this is fine) the computer goes into recovery mode followed by a blue screen. If I simply shut down on the blue screen it boots up fine again but I cannot restart my computer without it going into recovery mode like this. I'd appreciate any help!
