Referring to Live, not to you: In a way this is silly. 1) It is a shortcut, but a shortcut to what? There is no pause function on the screen. When you're editing you need two hands to do this, which is very unpractical. 2) Why is there no pause button on screen? Don't people/users need a pause button when being creative in editing, evaluating chances or thoughts? The process is unnecessarily interrupted by complex actions on the keyboard (or fiddlely putting the cursor exactly on a line, make it blink and then click on the line again). This could and should be made so much smoother.
