good video on explaining on the differences, also limited care of treatment comes around a lot and can get very specific on things before going to DNR always good to know what the patient wants before treating them when taking a assignment.

Where I am in Canada we have a bit of a different system with goals of care. There's R1 and R2, R1 is the full code, R2 is everything but compressions. Then there's M1 and M2 which is varying levels of medical care and then C1 and C2 which is comfort care only and may include things like antibiotics for a UTI but is basically DNR. Then of course any legal documents the patient may have.

Yes, it's a very, very touchy subject and it's complicated as all getout and it's also some kind of racket.  I said no dnr.  You want to turn that into something complicated, don't you?  Gee, I wonder why.  you don't imagine that money would have anything to do with it, do you?  Well, I do.  No dnr means no dnr.  Simple as that.

What about a person heart stops but he is still gasped for air; will I still be able to do CPR even though that person have the DNR?
