These are some of the MOST COMMON questions I am asked by patients and their families about DNR. Let me know if there is anything else you’d like me to talk about with code status and DNR!

I appreciate your invitation to think about a time when we were sick and the fact that we didn’t even feel like making basic decisions. I hadn’t heard that before, and I think that could help people understand why they should discuss goals of care ahead of time!

GREAT VIDEO! Answered most of the questions I had. One other, what about nutrition and fluids? Pro's and Con's?

great explanation of some of the most common things people ask, it's easy for us docs to forget how confusing some of these concepts can be. I also agree more primary physicians need to be having these talks. It's unfair to patients to be at the end of a long illness without ever hearing these things prior to the ICU

When discussing dnr wth other family members... WHY.?? are experienced hospital staff telling the family..."if we need to do cpr, we will break their ribs and we will puncture their lungs and they will end up on a ventilator, is that what you serious questions need tobe answered by nhs operatives in the uk.

Hi, great Job. What if you have a patient with a signed DNR and you are at the home. The patient goes into cardiac arrest and the family has no idea what a DNR was and demands you to start CPR?

When do you normally use Massimo? I was on it and I HATED it. Plus the RT kept messing with my CPAP to the point where I felt like I was drowning. Not a pleasant experience.

My sister lost her life
, after 2 nights in the icu. Her husband knew she was pro life. At 54, she left behind a 16 yr old son. He raced against tine, so she wont be able to wake up. He was coerced by his family. My sister is none deserving of tgeir precious son that works at bae. I honestly did not see this coming. She tokd me of the evil women trying to get rid of her, not their, not their own kind. I know tge tgreats they played with her. Manipulative bs shots within 28 yrs. They think no big deal but i know why after 2 days, her husband signed dnr and dni. His compliance to his family. I call it murder!!!

I really enjoy your channel, however wherever you make your videos makes it very hard to hear you. There is an echo, so I don’t know what you can do to fix that. Please do :-)

If someone has a DNR / DNI let them be. You are saying that you are offering things they don't want.
