We believe Nairobi flies under the radar a little when it comes to just HOW good the coffee shops are in this city! As digital nomads, we love working at coffee shops so we have put together our list of TOP 5 COFFEE SHOP RECOMMENDATIONS!

We made our selections based off of a few, non-scientific criteria 😅 We looked for :
1. Great Coffee (And alternative milks)
2. Good vibe
3. Nice Seating
And bonus points of excellent food.
We tried to give the best reviews possible, so that you have good information on each coffee shop!

Kenya is famous for its coffee, and so it makes sense that there would be some incredible coffee shops! It was really difficult to make this list of the best coffee shops in Nairobi, since there are really just so many to choose from!

But using our totally non-scientific criteria, and our own judgement, we are confident that we have at the very least provided a list of coffee shops in Nairobi that you won't regret trying!

I love all the foliage and greenery surrounding the cafes! Also the concept of the Social House is super cool!

Nice job, really well done, super useful... I need to be more adventurous clearly. Agree with Chiara above, IMHO, 'Wasp and Sprout' has to be in top 5. Small crit, all 5 are on the south side of the Waiyaki Way (A104) . Waiyaki Way runs East to West and sort of divides Nairobi between North side and South side, a bit like the River Thames divides London between those who favour the north and those who favour the south (and 'we' have the South Bank :-) ). Wasp and Sprout is just north of Waiyaki Way in Loresho and is a very cool place to chill and it now has a very small, 20 seats?, intimate bar/cocktail bar upstairs that opens evenings in the back half of the week, Thursday, Friday Saturday... check opening days/times.
