LOL the badge saying "ask me about Kevlar" let me guess its her old lady trap so she can make you sit down for a cup of tea and talk for 10, 000 years

I want to fix your clock, but then I realize it would look silly jumping forward spastic-ly as it takes a lot longer to create each episode than the little bit of time it takes me to watch it. Love your series.

She "accident" is still saving police officer lives, being used by NASA, and in aircraft airframes.
May she RIP knowing her legacy lives on AND saving lives.

writing a personal novel of stuff, this was really cool, thanks... now we just need to create a version of kevlar air tight and strong enough to resist the vacuum and we'll have zeppelins that are more of a risk suddenly dropping rather than exploding, a crash is far more likely to be walked away from than a burning, explosive crash lol

There's a new Kevlar material that Dupont just debuted the other day

Just discovered this channel, and this is the first video I've watched. I can already tell that your current 144 subscribers is nowhere near the amount this channel should have. Subscribed!

Why would you put more importance in the gender of an individual than the work itself? who cares? Do you vote the same way? The gender of the next prime minister is more important than the politics? Who cares? No matter how you twist it, men don't need women to thrive and survive. But women DO need men.

I've heard that kevlar was the result of us back engineering tech originating from the Zeta Retuculi binary star system.. plantet Zeta-2 tech crashing onto planet Sol-3. (earth). These form-fitting one piece suits the grays were wearing had no seams. they could not tear, or burn. Layered bullets even did not go through! there was a lot of really amazing features to this stuff. Although because we come from Earth we did not have the necessary materials to make the exact fibers that they have to make their suits.. So Using the closest materials we had to compare it to, (from DuPont then in the 50s) was basically oil based products mixed with polymer plastic compounds.. because the government themselves Don't Know Jack schitt about certain things like fibers, and technical stuff, that meant they had no choice but to go to DuPont and basically ask for help secretly. So that's why certain scientist from DuPont had to be involved. they had to find ones that would shut their mouth go along with the program and would want the fame and they found a female who is willing to go along with the ploy that she invented it by telling her that the good that it would do for Humanity and the good that it would do for women's rights as it would make her seem you know very empowered and smart and that a woman can do anything a man can do what she has is true I'm not I'm not a sexist I believe men and women are equal but at the time in the 50s that wasn't the way the case widespread so this was her way of being able to help women's rights as well as help Humanity. Our version of Kevlar isn't as good as the aliens version of what they had though ours resist Burns and heat and ours resist Cuts but it's not completely as good as the alien version of the same technology they're fibers that they've made from their polymers that we cannot reproduce basically are completely cut through completely tear proof completely burnt roof ours are very close to that but nowhere near as effective as there's. All of this is speculation and Theory I don't know how much if it's true but that's what I personally have heard how it all went down with Kevlar. this is around the same time they came up with microprocessors and circuitry and stuffing just kind of a coincidence that all this stuff rose up out of nowhere at the same time.. really makes you think huh sorry for the long paragraph but I had to say something I love aliens and talking about that sort of thing is fun to dream and Wonder

Why are there so many conspiracy theorists in the comments?

Sop calling people by their last names. Call them by their first names. Anyway, you just got the government's "official" story. The true story's that Kevlar, fiber optics, & integrated circuits were discovered on a crashed flying saucer near Roswell, New Mexico. The government wanted to reverse engineer this stuff & mass produce it, but they had to be able to explain where it came from, So, they came up with a cover story & selected Steffy to claim that she invented it. If she went along with the story, she'd get rich & famous. If not, well, she'd be found dead & a staged suicide or accident. It was a offer that she couldn't refuse.
