Hardy has a gift for languages. In Al Capone he speaks Italian from down in his toes. Absolutely brilliant.

It’s not odd to me, it’s sophisticated, well prepared and creative, like Bale’s Batman voice. Nolan is one of the few directors who are super picky about sound and the music score in his movies.

His voice impression in this clip sounded like a cross between Gandalf and Sean Connery 😆... The Bane voice for DKR was perfect. Terrifying, nuanced, and calm all at once

I had my doubts when I initially listened to Bane’s voice in the movie. I thought, “there was no way in hell that was actually Tom Hardy‘s real voice, but a dubbed voice of someone else who was easier to understand, rather”. But 00:45 seconds into playing this video clip, I quickly realized that in life, whenever you think that you are 100% positive about something, always leave room for the possibility of being 100% wrong. And so with that being said, I stand corrected!! I’ve never been more happier to be proven wrong about something! What a performance, Tom Hardy! Something tells me that I wasn’t the only person blown away by this.

The sound is kind of humorous but scary when he's becoming serious.

I didn't know that it was "controversial." I mean there have been a lot of criticisms of the movie as a whole over the past few years - since the initial hype for the movie died down, however, i don't remember or I'm simply unaware that one of these criticisms was Bane's voice. It certainly isn't a perfect film that has a number of major flaws imo, but with that in mind, I still think it's a phenomenal film, and one of the reasons why was Tom's performance, more specifically - his voice and delivery! It was absolutely brilliant imo! So much so that, (I know that what I'm about to say is considered heresy by many), I actually liked Tom's Bane more than Heath's the Joker performance.

Watched The Batman and I must say Nolan's movies are still better. The new movie is good, but hopefully the new Batman gets smarter in the next movie with a lot more gadgets. Hopefully Bruce Wayne finds some personality too.
