In my second ranked game ever, I played a Mongol mirror on Megarandom where my opponent was onto mangudai faster than me. I correctly intuited that my only path to victory would be to punish his transition with a fast Imp arb and ram push. I killed his castle while he still only had a few mangudai and that was that. Lower ELO players are perfectly capable of strategic insight, even if execution is less than stellar.

Actually 10 on berries is probably intentional, something phosporu explains on his builds is that getting the berries earlier when you know you wont have army is better because you would be pushed off them otherwise later and wont have access to them anyway.

Ah yes the two range cav archers with only one producing but you alternate it so both get use. 😂

The capped ram was solely to soak ranged fire because without micro ranged units will prioritize the ram. I use this trick all the time to force the opponent to either focus fire micro or lose his army. Usually much better with team mates because your ally can hit them while they are distracted. It's like the only counter to longbows at low elo because we suck. XD

It's such an interesting blend of strengths and weaknesses! Maybe Hera has just beaten them into my head too much that I'm shocked when someone can deer lure and quick wall better than me, but not instantly clicking bow saw & bodkin arrow on hitting Castle age and, while having a castle not instantly queuing up a treb in imp.

It's a timeless classic! I used to do this strategy back in 2003 with huns, two-archery range fast castle into cav archers and siege. Super efective against your noob friends or at low elo, destroys everything.

I love this coaching videos. Been playing a few untangled games a week for a couple months now. But I’ve played a few 1000 games in past 10 years. Was on voobly now on steam. I’m looking forward to starting some ranked games soon

The ram dragged all his skirms under the castle and once the opponent realized he was out rammed, he gged. Tho a normal ram wouldve done the same, capped upgrade wasnt needed.

Hera didn't understand the purpose of that RAM. I agree with him that Cap Ram tech was too much, but blue used it for cleaning all the skirms quite consistently with a little bit of micro.
