Awesome I wish I'd known all this 20 years ago when I first started searching hearing aids, the Bluetooth options are honestly a lifesaver with my level of hearing loss

I greatly appreciate the videos that Dr Cliff and now you, Dr Rachael, are providing. I am a new hearing aid user and they are really beneficial to me to understand expectations as well as the details of my aids. My audiologist is learning new things as well right along with me.

Thanks for another thought provoking video. Are these tips only for first time hearing aids users?

I got them yesterday and can't tell any difference. I was not having issues before but they say my hearing is bad. Thanks

Thank you for providing that video. I am just in the process of purchasing hearing aids for the first time and this information you have shown is very useful. I have a question for you. As you are aware the technology as it applies to hearing aids is moving along very quickly. Do you personally upgrade your hearing aids on a regular bases or have you stayed with your initial one for years at a time.

Regarding changing volume (and also changing the program if that’s available)… I’ve been wearing hearing aids for 5 years now and I maybe have to fiddle with the volume at most once or twice a month, and I fiddle with the program even less - both only are temporary when I’m in an unusual environment (and are reset the next time I turn the hearing aids off and on again). If you’re doing these things all the time, you may want to check with your hearing provider to ensure your devices are programmed correctly.

I'm down in Sierra Vista and an audio nut (audiophile), are there hearing aids for the incurably fussy or to be able to listen to my audio equipment and have a good experience?

have a similar problem to you high pitch sounds, however I have very good hearing (0-10% damage )in low frequencies up to 3000k-4000k however from 3000-4000k there is a huge droop up to 80% .I have recently bought the newest hearing aid phonax Audeo Lumity L90 and I'm not satisfied and want to share my experience .after using 2 weeks I visited another audiologist and test showed further lost hearing in high frequency .I suspect that it has sth to do with my hearing aid that they are overused and more dull to high pitch sounds or I hope it is temporary .Do you experience a further hearing lost after using hearing aids ? I don't care that it may help if I can't maintain what I have. I understand television almost fully without keeping it louder than average but I don't understand songs only refrains and colloquial speech. .I only understand official statements, in hard situation I'm defenceless.

Not having any hearing aids I am wanting to learn about the extra premium features and how these are controlled, are they automatic or a feature that I need to select. Example ( i think.. not sure this is all new and Im learning).. a loud football stadium will require I’d think a different setting (station/program) than a nice walk or TV movie or radio and conversation in a coffee shop. I guess my question is ; do the devices automatically switch or does the user toggle through some pre-programmed settings. Thanks for your help. Very much appreciate your channels information 😊

Hello, great vid, ty for sharing
Allow me a question, after i change my old set of hearing aids with a new one, my tinnitus spiked like crazy.
Do you have any clue why did that happen?
Best regards

Lol my audi first suggested a CI but ent had a ——fit . I went through 3 different brands and kept the one that gives the most distorted and unrecognizable sounds. Woohoo🎉

Getting mine in 3 days. Gotta say I’m a little apprehensive. I feel like a line in my life is now being crossed.

I like these videos, but honestly, I do not like the editing/removing of any pauses between the TONS of valuable information your channel is providing. I am going to guess this is some sort of editing software to remove any natural pauses, but please, it feels/sound unnatural and its an overload. I have stopped several videos (doesnt matter who is presenting as this technique of removing any gaps is happening for ALL videos) because its just too much information, non stop and rapid fire. Tell who ever is editing your videos to leave in some more gaps of natural pauses between your sentences and especially when changing to the next topic!
