I heard someone tell their story about how a 13 y went on tinder and lied about being 19, the OP of the post thought that she just looked a little younger than her age and believed her. They did the deed and he got arrested because a child lied about their age.

It SHOULD be illegal. Because if you lie about your age and go hook up with an adult, the adult can face criminal charges. They shouldnt face criminal charges, instead the liar should.

It honestly SHOULD be very illegal to lie about your age in dating websites. So many people have gotten introuble because of stupid brats that think theyre grown, and the peopel didn't even know they were lying about it.

Dating apps and just online dating today have gotten so dangerous. Im part of the original online dating (AOL) i meet my now wife on there. We just had our 19-year anniversary.

My reason for not using dating apps is because of the risk of some kid being on there and lying about their age and me end up meeting them somewhere once we decide to meet up and finding out that they are under age and me getting in trouble over it, i’m not going to jail over some false accusations of me being a pedo

This needs to change it should be a crime for kids to lie about their age they know exactly what they're doing some kids will even lie about their age just so they can cause chaos and get people in trouble don't always think the child is the innocent one if they're lying about their age there's a problem

Should definitely be illegal. Cause imagine meeting someone on tinder, hooking up, then the cops are at your door for statutory rape.
