Here’s the classic Pythagorean Theorem…a visual representation of the mathematical proof.
The area of the square whose side is the Hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares on the other two sides. I have also included the Masonic Emblem of the Compass and the Square in the drawing. My father was a Mason, and later, a Shriner. I admire their emphasis on Geometry, and on how to use the concepts presented in the Pythagorean Theorem as a metaphor for "squaring your square when it gets out of square".
