1. Surface preparation:
a. The area to be treated should be cleaned thoroughly with
mechanical means especially for structure.
b. For new surfaces wire brushing, will be sufficient. It should been
sure that the substrate is cleaned, fine pored and free from any loose
particles, dust laitance, mould release agents and curing compounds
etc.
c. The surface defects like potholes, void must be filled with non-
shrink grout ArmGrout M65 E.
2. Cracks Treatment:
a. For cracks on membrane coating areas, cut ‘V’ groove and grout in
the crack by gravity method with non-shrink grout ArmGrout M65 E.
Sealing of Tie Rod Holes :- Sealing the Tie Rod Holes with non shrink
free flow grout ArmGrout M65 E.
Treatment to Construction Joints:- All construction joints of
concrete shall be treated by hacking and opening the affected area till
sound concrete, fixing nozzles and grouting the same @0.5mtr center
to center, under pressure with cement slurry mixed with plasticizer
non shrink additive ArmGrout Additive @250 Grm Per bag of cement
and sealing all the construction joints with non shrink free flow grout
ArmGrout M65 E.
Application Prodcedure:-
Providing and applying crystalline waterproofing treatment to RCC
retaining wall. The bond coat should be carried out by using slurry
(AquaArm IC mixed with ReArm Bond SBR in 9:1 ratio) and
waterproofing to be carried out using AquaArm ICP while the
AquaArm IC is still tacky of MYK Arment make. The slurry should be
applied with a trowel or float @ 2.8 Sqm/25kg on the concrete
substrate.
