Jeep Renegade owners should have these!

Always be prepared. You should always have others go with you, especially in the snow. These boards are called MaxTrax, there are cheaper alternatives out there.

You can have the best 4x4 in the world, but if you go on the snow with street tires you will get stuck.
Right tires is key.

"always be prepared" ---> goes with summer tires on snow...

Air down to about 18 psi. Snow mode and traction control off. You would not get stuck

I got stuck one time and used my rubber floor mats and those work good too 😂

Every jeep renegade owner should have All terrains.

I had a set of Maxxis Bravo AT tires, 225/65/17. Great traction off road. Great on the road.

Every time I have gotten stuck in my Subaru, traction boards would have helped immensely in rectifying my situation. Thanks for uploading, your rival drivers in Subaru XV Crosstreks do a lot of the same stuff Jeep Renegade Trailhawks drivers do off-road. Your content and other similar stuff is very relevant for those seeking off-road adventure in crossover vehicles.

You can have as many drive wheels as you want, but without snow tires you're not going anywhere.

All you needed was cat litter, works great for traction...

I do a simmular trick all the time with old tire chains. I have several sets of old bar guards that don't fit anything. The trick is to lay them out in front of or behind the wheel and ram them in between the ground and the tire to get them started. I usually use a snow shovel handle to ram them in(stuck cars tend to attract snow shovels).

....that was a well traveled road for people with the proper trucks with decent tires...regardless, good PSA....next time when you go get tires get something in an A/T tire, it will likely double the amount of places you can go without having to take out the traction mats....carry the traction mats anyways...

Yes, we should have a spare tire, jack and tire iron. Unfortunately if you buy a 2020 Jeep Renegade Latitude you don't get a spare tire kit. They are on backorder until late 2021 or early 2022.

I had the same problem. I just got the renegade and first time in snow took turn too fast and slid into plowed snow. Just one tire off in the plowed mound and was stuck. I had to wait for truck to pull me out. Like others have said, those street tires they come with are lousy on snow. I just had Pirelli All Terrain plus 225/65/R17 tires put on my latitude and they fit fine and I have a little more ground clearance. Plan to also get some traction boards just in case.

Winter tires bro. BFG KSIs, would be a whole lot better where you're wheelin'. You are right about the MaxTrax.
Can definitely make the difference between a mere slow down, and a full on crisis. Cheers

Of course, if you don't get the update for your transmission control module you could be dead out of the water with error code p0128 with no 4x4 lock. Seems silly it's disabled if the coolant isn't 100% perfect, but once I got the update it performed better at lower gears and RPMS.
