Leaking injector copper washer is usually what does this on mercedes diesels. On OM646 EVO 170HP this is quite common to happen even before the actual tar is formed arround a leaking injector. Get it replaced fast before it damages the fuel return and injector wires

The most common problems could be spark plugs- coil pack - dirty throttle body - dirty air filter - dirty mas air flow sensor- clogged fuel filter
Try to check them out.

I have the CLA Shooting brake 220d and it intermittently does this when im just cruising at a steady speed. It almost feels like it wants to stop when im driving and you feel like youre being pulled back but then it settles. By this time, i find out that my paddle shifters no longer work and i think the car goes into into limp mode. Switching the car off and on again resets everything and works fine, well until the next time it does it again. Its intermittent but can be reproduced pretty much every day. Is there anything i could just replace to see if it fixes it? The car has only done 65k.

There is a long list of what could cause these but most commonly are a leaking injector, bad fuel pressure sensor/regulator or a vaccum leak. Hope this helps!

I think I found this video on YouTube where she describes the transmission fluid needs changing. I have the same problem but I haven’t done it myself yet

I had the same problem with my mb 220 cdi 2008 ..my friend advise me to run in the high way and drive crazy..Kik dawn and so for 30 minutes..and it’s work like a drive usually really slow in boring way...
So if you drive in the city usually the car need to run fast for some time and press the gas to the max for 3 to 4 time..
