Just in case you were curious the fans at the end of the show are shouting "BLOO" and not boo'ing the corps. This is a big show of support for the Bluecoats for fans to shout "bloo".

I don't think anyone explained why this show was so incredible. At the end the hornline WAS NOT PLAYING A PORTION. It was pre-recorded by the hornline and they added it in and mixed it to make it sound like a noteless gliss. A gliss on a horn sounds like a chromatic or another scale, but notes are added in if you don't have the notes on your instrument that can actually be played. This happened in the 1980s and 1990s because instruments were two valved or valve and rotary, not three valved. In this case they augmented the sound to make it 'bend the pitch' both down then up. The bluecoats then played the final chord at the end of this pitch 'gliss.' I watched and heard this in the theatre as a former drum corps horn player and I had to pick my jaw off of the seat!!!! It was

Flomarchimg is the contracted filming company that films DCI and they are very strict when it comes to their videos.

Thank you as always Paul for the reaction and I hope you saw the difference in types of concepts used by these corps. Phantom Regiment concept was their interpretation of Romeo and Juliet which has to be performed to perfection because the story is known, BlueCoats today however took a concept “Tilt” and built an entire show from that action and you could see how much creativity as tilt morphed into the concept of bending in the music and showed just how creative these staffs can be and sometimes the show a corp puts on the field after pre tour is developed so much by finals that the corp has a whole new show👍 I am really looking forward to actually speaking with you live after tomorrows video which is The Cavaliers 2010 “Mad World”. As I said I am not giving you any information on this show other than it will hit home to you as a veteran and I look forward to speaking with you after to get your thoughts 😁👍

Flo Marching is the company that DCI has a contract with to provide live streaming of events for the past few years, and lots of people like to complain about them, but I think they get more hate than they deserve most of the time. They also handle the copyright claims, and will remove videos from Youtube if they are able to, but that seems to only apply to shows from the past 5 years or so, and not most of the older ones. Also, there is a running joke about calling DCI videos "cake recipes", "mountain bike trails", or "Not Bluecoats 2014" in the titles and other weird stuff to disguise it or be more covert when asking for videos or posting them.

The only reason the bluecoats lost this year was felliniasque. The other corp in blue upstaged them. I still think hymn of acxiom was the best ballad that year.
