I have to say Chris, you have to be the best, most thorough, genuine, knowledgeable real world reviewer out there. Balanced, informed, knowledgeable, asking real world questions, and answering honestly and without bias. Even funky stuff like that Harley Electric thing, you went in open minded, and gave it an honest chance and an honest review. A true credit to the biking world, and to bike journalism.

Not really an off road/adventure guy, but stayed to watch the whole thing—cracking review.

8:05 I daily my Multi all the time, and ive dropped mine on a steep mountain pass with no crash bars. I have radar. That bike is a trooper! Nothing broke and it took 5 MEN to get it back up because of how steep and narly the fall was I was shocked. My radar and cruise has worked fine since then and that was months ago. Sure he has a few scrapes but damn! Nothing broke.

You guys are the best motorcycle publication Period. Thank you for explaining what an adventure motorcycle is. Thank you for also acknowledging that a motorcycle isn’t going to break down just because it’s not made by the Japanese. Thank you for being original, knowledgeable and well spoken.

Finally someone that addresses correctly the myth of "cant take them off road...too big, too heavy..." thanks Chris, short and simply very well responded, awesome video! 👍👍

I did 24000 miles on a 2018 1260s multistrada it was 100% reliable for 20000 miles but then the suspension started to sag and bottom out front and rear also started using a lot of oil.
Was on extended warranty but Ducati not interested in sorting saying skyhook not serviceable very poor backup service expect to wait weeks for repairs/parts. Traded for a new 1250 gsa so far very pleased the shaft drive is a massive bonus for big miles and off road use which rarely gets mentioned.

As many others have said, excellent style of review. Very professional. What I'd add also applaud are those riding skills demonstrated in those clips. Gives true credit to all your words.

The most trusted motorcycle content bar-none. Chris Northover, worth listening to him. 👍

The very last sentence sums it all up very nicely and truly.

Owned multiples of both - GSA no issues bar one faulty battery. Ducati Multi - enjoyed riding the bike more, but, returned 3 due to major sometimes dangerous faults. Occasional offroad use and day to day winter/wet grime and cold use.

I don't care about the particular bikes but that's an excellent review, Chris!! Can't wait for you to ride the 660 Tuareg and Tenere WR! Or Norden vs Desert X!

Great video. As for Ducati my friend bought a Diavel last year. After first oil change he did some kilometers on it just to found out that he is missing 2l of oil. Now he is trying to win a battle with Ducati and get a new engine.
I had 959 and around 18.000 kilometers engine started to loose oil at header parts it did not even last to first desom I was using it just for a road riding. So these two cases really make me think of buying Ducati again although I really love the looks of Italian bikes :)
