Brother Anandamoy (1922 – 2016), a much-loved and respected minister of Self-Realization Fellowship and direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, speaks during the second night of the historic 1993 SRF World Convocation, held during the centennial of Paramahansa Yogananda’s birth.

He reviews important points from the vast subject of Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings, helping seekers to take the Guru’s wisdom and guidance to a much deeper level—to ultimately fulfill the purpose of life through the practice of yoga meditation.

I was here. I cannot believe looking back. I was around 22 years old. I sat in the front row next to my father who passed away 2 1/2 years ago. He took notes as we laughed and enjoyed our whole week together. I see him here on camera and it's one of the few videos I have of him. At the very end, we played him the Divine Gypsy and he held a picture of Master in his hand as my father slipped away. He loved this man... I miss them both.

Brother's message, still so timeless and fresh. What a breathtaking way to stop and review the passage of time, the changes, the troughs and peaks, the journey thus far of this one lifetime.

Pranams, I miss listening to you at the Temple wisdom filled Brother Anandamoy, you blessed my life. Now the Kriya Masters are guiding me until the Guru is fully realized within. I remember when you repeated Masters words "When this "I" shall die, then shall I know whom am I." I have found thru observation and Masters teachings that this "I" not only causes most of our suffering, but separates us from God and our fellow man preventing love and Self Realization. The ego cannot or control the ego, but can be observed by our higher self. This observation is the beginning of self realization. It is like observing something you have never seen before, so no judgement or words, just 100% observation, . To realize your Spiritual nature is the 2nd part of Self Realization. To realize your Spiritual nature thru Kriya Yoga is the exact reverse as the process of creation. To trace from the most external back to God. In the Bible it says -"Be still and know I am God", and combine with -"If thine eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light." Only a realized Master can help you become realized. We are lucky Master came here many years ago from India and blessed us all.
