I just noticed the closest swamp gobbler not only backs away from the moopsy when it's near the glass, but it also has its knees shake when the latter enters.

I completely missed this detail the first time I watched the episode -- note how quickly the blonde leans against the wall to cover up the now-upside-down panel the humans have been tampering with. Sure, everyone spots it later, but gotta give the people who make the show credit for having that clue there at the start.

Well, we have here the best and the worst of humanity. The 2 prisoners let Moopsy loose not to free themselves, as they were detained because of an honest mistake, but to take over the Menajerie, not caring who got brutally killed. And we have the best of humanity, Ransom and Mariner, who, despite having their flaws, are ready to give their lives to save their team. Ah, there is enseign Gary, who is terrified and neutral, doesn't help, but doesn't hurt anything either. Just like in real life, we are the best AND the worst species on Earth...
