The fact that Toriel, after going out to get the sugar, saw someone outside and saw that the tires had been slashed, (by Kris), then immediately had Susie stay the night and had them all sleep in the same room really shows her character. She couldn't have let Susie walk home with someone prowling around outside, and she couldnt have her and Kris sleep in a separate room in case someone broke in and she wouldnt be there. Realizing this when i saw her on the phone with Undyne hit me like a bus.

Undertale: A song that plays in a nice home with your loving goat mom

Yeah, yeah, Kris doing a creepy thing, very spooky, but... Jeez, man, Susie acts like she doesn't have a room of her own, like she's barely eating anything at all, she is always so taken aback by any kindness towards her, whether she shows it or not, I feel so worried about her.

The most disturbing part of this game has the sweetest soundtrack, wonderful

Everyone here is mentioning the disturbing cliffhanger, but I'm just enjoying the wholesomeness right before that. Susie was unexpectedly cute in that scene, and her bonding more with Toriel and Kris was sweet.

Kris: Hey Player, you did a good job sealing that fountain back there.
Kris: It would be a shame if some teenager were to...
Kris: _Open another one_

I can't believe it's called a "Restroom" when I absolutely did not want to rest after the scene I witnessed

Creepy scenes aside, this rearrangement of Home is one of my favorite songs in the entirety of DeltaRune so far, it does a phenomenal job of maintaining the cozy vibes of the original song (Plus, it sounds REALLY good on its own!), and I love how Don't Forget was added to this rendition (That motif has REALLY grown on me)

1:19 is the part that I love the most, Don't Forget and Once Upon a Time both sound very pleasant here

My game glitched and this kept on playing during the ending and credits, unintentionally making it funnier than it needed to be

I’ve always somewhat had this impression of Susie, but this particular scene gives me more reason to believe that Susie is neglected, maybe abused otherwise or even impoverished/homeless. The way she is in awe of Kris and Toriel’s home, how shocked she seems to be met with kindness from Toriel. Even earlier in the game, when she first saw her room in Ralsei’s castle, she seemed hesitant and not sure how to feel. She also eats a lot of weird shit, and while this could simply could be more of a quirky character trait of hers, and monster diets seems to be different from humans obviously, but it could also mean that she is used to having to eat unconventional and random things bc she didn’t have access to proper food.

This track was like an upgrade to original Home that lacked something to feel fully complete and safe. To feel like a place you could really call home. Definitely one of the nicest track in the first chapter.
Now the Chapter 2 has been introduced... it's all gone.

I love the little details in this scene. Kris went outside to slash the tires while they were in the bathroom. Then Toriel went to the car to get something, and upon returning, immediately insisted Susie stay over and not go outside, which I assume she did for her safety, cuz Toriel thinks there's a maniac nearby outside. And then they all go to sleep in the living room so she can keep an eye on everyone.

This has easily become one of my most favorite songs in Deltarune, purely because of the pure, raw nostalgia behind it.

The minute you hear the old Undertale theme playing in this song, you stop and think to yourself: "Damn...This as all come a very long way hasn't it?"

Like think about it, before Deltarune we had Undertale, and all the absolute praise and love and alternate realities that came along with it. To a lot of people, myself included, Undertale was THE spiritual successor to the Earthbound/Mother series, and it was all made by ONE guy who was mostly known for making a goofy little Halloween Hack for Earthbound. Now here we are, no longer in the ever-expanding multiverse of Undertale and have found ourselves in a new reality, an "Elseworld" tale with everyone we knew and loved from the old world along with brand new faces eager to show us a brand new story. One that will make us laugh, make us cry, and this time around make us wonder where this is all going. Because Toby clearly has big plans with Deltarune, no question about it.

Yeah....This series really HAS come a very long way, hasn't it? And I truly think it's gonna continue coming a long way too, with everyone of us enjoying the ride.

We're in this for the great big beautifully long haul, folks. Let's remember what made Undertale so perfect, and use that knowledge and dedication to make Deltarune something even greater.

Let's make this a story we will ALWAYS love and remember.

_"Let us suppose that there is a bomb underneath this table between us. Nothing happens, and then all of a sudden, 'Boom!' There is an explosion. The public is surprised, but prior to this surprise, it has seen an absolutely ordinary scene, of no special consequence. Now, let us take a suspense situation. The bomb is underneath the table and the public knows it…In these conditions this same innocuous conversation becomes fascinating because the public is participating in the secret."_
- Alfred Hitchcock, with his famous "bomb under the table" theory

Despite the altered context, this song is entirely unchanged from its use in Chapter 1, so I'll just repost my motif findings:
The beginning of the song is Home (which uses Once Upon a Time Part 1 at 0:18) Such nostalgia. Oh Toby you know us so well.
0:57 Don’t Forget.
1:19 High pitched melody is Once Upon a Time Part 3.

spoiler:

We, the player, are connected to Kris' SOUL, which is made clear when the camera doesn't follow Kris when they go out the window. The camera stays on the bathroom, where their SOUL is, and we hear Susie's & Toriel's conversation in the other room.
Also, I bet Kris was the one who slashed the car's tires during the time they didn't have their SOUL, and they removed their SOUL so we couldn't see them do it

You know, in Chapter 3, we're going to be stuck in a Dark World that Kris created in their own home.

One could say that we'll be... *_Homestuck._*

Oh, come on, Tori, that was a good one!
