How to use instance swap property & expose nested instances in Figma - Figma Tutorials 4K

How to use instance swap property & expose nested instances in Figma? I made the main component set with states used, that component, and replaced the icons and text with instance swap. But when I hover/click on instances, although the hover effect is working - it shows the same master icon when I hover on new icons. What seems to be the issue?
