I’ve been on pristiq for 10 years, couldn’t get off it, tried compounding smaller doses at a pharmacy. Nope.

But decided to try changing over to Effexor, I’m on week 2 of 37.5mg & Pristiq reduced to 50mg. Stop taking Pristiq next week and Effexor goes up to 75mg.

I am already noticing a slight improvement in mood and lessened anxiety. I personally think Pristiq was making me feel worse. I have more side effects on Effexor so far though, hopefully the side effects reduce and I continue to improve. I really want my life to improve.

Initially, effexor was effective. But after 3 years, I now have a ton of the side effects. Increased heart rate, higher blood pressure, uncontrolled anxiety. Can the side effects appear after 2 years of use?
