Thanks Dave. Have you gotten Topaz Photo to send the edit back to Lightroom the way photoshop does?

I posted this, Anthony, as a response to the gentleman who feels he's spending more time updating Photo AI than using it. I feel it has some important points that warrant my positing it as a standalone comment. To wit.

Photo AI is still a continuing work in progress and the changes are both a function of the concerted efforts of the users making suggestions for improvements, pointing out bugs and, the evolution of it to be within the goals and parameters for Photo AI's future in the eyes of the Topaz developers. It is an incredibly complex process but one that is reaping true rewards.

I fail to to understand what your "big problem" is with the once a week update, which may take 5 minutes to do and then nothing new till the following Friday.

This product has come a LONG way since it debuted.

Back then, I barely ever used it preferring the standalone programs.

Now, I find I am opting for it more and more and the new Denoise V2 models seem to be even better, in some respects, to those achievable with the standalone Denoise AI.

I just updated to latest version. I do not see the export settings tab. I have been opening in LR under file > plug in extras to save as a dng file back to LR, but it would be nice to be able to set the file format. Am I missing something?

When I send a raw image from LR to Photo AI it opens as a .dng, but about 1 1/2 stops dark. After processing and sending back to LR I have to edit and add back the exposure. ??

I hope Topaz in the future will stop rerendering photos when you zoom in or move around the page. Otherwise, it’s a good tool. Thanks for the review, Anthony.

I still wish it had more pre-selectable autopilot options so that it can do bulk processing closer to my liking.

KInd of unfortunate that Topaz Labs released Photo AI 1.3.8 the very day that this video was published. 🤷🏻‍♂

Anthony let me see if understand what's going on here with the sharpening "models".

Each model is merely a preset that gives you a predetermined amount of sharpening and / or detail adjustments.

Irrespective of which preset / model is used, ALL the various models are using exactly the same sharpening or detail engines but simply different combinations of amount in varying combinations.

Ultimately, they are more convenience factors than anything else?

your "before and after" is a completely worthless and irritating item in all of your videos. I can not see anything in the split second (only as long as it takes you to say the word "before" and same with "after"). Please consider the value of an effective "before/after" that is actually helpful. If you did a count to 3 seconds it would improve your otherwise wonderful videos immensely. Thanks.

Every time you open this program there's an update so it seems, just makes Topaz look stupid, sick of all the little so called improvements, I spend more time updating than using
