I wish I had a video of the creature I saw in Florida as a kid. My Boy Scout den went camping at Oscar Scherer State Park in Sarasota. We all were walking down a cleared fire break trail way out past where the daytime visitors ever go. The whole area is tangled palmetto bushes with small areas of trees in low spots. As we came around a corner something very tall and heavy on two feet hurried into a tree line. It was very tall, definitely not a bear or person. It was dark. That's all I saw, just a little motion and I heard it in the bushes. We all silently turned around and went back to camp, not running but not slow either. We knew one adult had a pistol for the wild pigs so we weren't terrified. I wanted to see it again. That's when I learned about skunk apes, the Florida Bigfoot. I hadn't heard of them before that night. That's what Larry the Scout leader thought it was and he didn't believe in them until that night.
The hunting regulations for Florida definitely and specifically protect skunk apes. That makes me think that the government knows something.

I live less than an hour away from Mt Hood. And have my whole life. And I'm really into being out in the woods. So I've spent tons of time in the woods on Mt Hood. And I'm telling you. There's a lot of spooky, crazy shit living in those woods! I've had some absolutely unreal experiences out there! Those woods are hiding some scary, crazy shit!💯

I had something approach me while shooting a gun in El Dorado National Forest. It made 4 heavy crunching footsteps and stopped. I could not see it. I was alone that day. Nobody up there approaches Gun fire with out sounding off especially unseen. I went back to the cabin. Too creepy.
